Bartica, Guyana – Family, friends, and supporters gathered in Bartica to celebrate the launch of Phebe Wallerson’s debut poetry collection, Lahcim. The evening was filled with emotion as Phebe shared her story of loss, healing, and love through poetry.

The book, titled Lahcim (her late sister’s name spelled backward), was written as a way to cope with grief and to keep her sister’s memory alive. Each poem reflects her journey through pain, remembrance, and strength.

At the launch, Phebe expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her and spoke about how writing became a form of comfort during difficult times. Guests described the event as heartfelt and inspiring, with many moved by the honesty of her words.

Lahcim was published by Learning Tree Group, a Guyanese publishing and media company dedicated to helping authors bring their stories to life.

Copies of Lahcim are available locally and through Amazon.
